VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Thank you for volunteering to help stage the 8th Pride 10k. Here is some information to help you get to the park.

Date: Saturday 20th August 2011

Start Time: 8:30a.m. Please arrive at the race HQ (see map attached) and come and find me at the London Frontrunners flag. From here a member of the team will sign you in, give you a role and race day information and a ticket to the after party.

Venue:Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets. Race Headquarters are in the former Victorian Church Hall, located on the edge of Victoria Park close to the junction of Cadogan Terrace and Victoria Park Road. The entrance is via a small gate off Cadogan Terrace.

Getting there: The closest tube stations are Bethnal Green (Central Line), Mile End (District, Central and Hammersmith & City), Bow Road (District), Pudding Mill Lane (DLR) or Bow Church (DLR). All are at least 20 minutes walk to the race HQ. The closest London Overground station is Hackney Wick which is a 5 minute walk away. See map attached. Please be aware that on August 20th, there will be no service on the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines and a partial closure of the District and Metropolitan lines.

Pride Run 2011 party: In the evening, there will be a Pride Run 2011 Party open to all runners, volunteers and their guests, for post race drinks and entertainment. This will take place at The Shadow Lounge, 5 Brewer Street, Soho, London, W1F 0RF from 7.30 p.m. onwards. Guests are welcome for a nominal £2 entry which will be donated to our chosen charity.
